TONIGHT NOV. 26, AT SPENCER'S COFFEE HOUSE AT 8 OCLOCK, SUICIDE KILLED THE GHOST AND RUN QUICKLY DEATH WILL BE PLAYING. IM NOT SURE IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER BANDS OR NOT BUT ANYONE WHO IS IN THE BG AREA SHOULD COME OUT FOR SOMETHING TO DO, SUPPORT THE LOCAL SCENES AND DRINK SOME COFFEE.

02:54 pm - Everyone else has put their post up, now its my turn to bitch!
Ok first and foremost I'm obviously not happy with the election outcomes. Anyone who really knows me will already know this. I don't like republicans being in office and i dont like their choice for figurehead. The reason being, that in the last four years under this rule, I've seen things come to pass that i would never even imagine would be possible in a supposidly 'free' country. I'll list just a few for brevities sake.
The war on terror and the war in general. It just outrages me that the leaders of the country would go against popular opinion not only in its own country, but from the rest of the world and the U.N.; whom sadly can't do their job because America is stronger.
Lets see, making other countries into capitalists against their will cuz we know whats better for them, writing their laws and constitutions and leaving military there to 'protect the people'. Its control. what else. Oh recent events.
The marriage amendment. Human rights violation more like it. This is nothing more than homophobic fears run rampant. Why do people think that all gays and lesbians do is fuck and spread disease? Why is that people think that by allowing gays and lesbians to be married that it somehow corrupts or undervalues the sanctity of marriage? It seems that most people who object to it think its wrong based on the grounds that they think gay sex is gross. Admit it cuz its true. But with that in mind, what does that say about their view on marriage? If gay sex is the reason they're against the marriage then to those people marriage deals mostly with sex. But if you ask most people why they get married they'll say its because of love. So in that case why is it illegal for gays and lesbians to be married if they love each other? Why deny them the rights that other people get? Could you imagine how much it would hurt to have your significant other in the hospital and you couldnt visit them becuase you're not married? Thats just one of the many things they'll have to deal with. Yes this can be overturned but dammit its still boggles my mind that people will do this to other people. And a good portion of this is based on religious beliefs. Religious beliefs that teach about love and tolerance and respect and such. ha! And of course the timeless joke of seperation of church and state comes into play. All America has become in past times is a big cadilac for Jesus and George bush to go cruisin over the rest of the world.
Also there is the anti abortion sentiment thats going around. I dont know how i feel about abortion totaly cuz ive never been placed in that situation and i dont care if people tell me about their experinces either way it wont change my views till it is something that i experience. But i believe that a person should have the choice when it comes to this matter. nuff said.
And now for something that may hit home for more people, the over time pay bill that was proposed by George Bush. For any of us who are blue collar workers or come from those families this one is a doozie. The bill proposed to abolish over time pay! No more time and a half if you work over the apointed 40 hours a week. Nope keep grossing the same amount and keep missing your families and keep missing your free time like you normally do without any extra compensation. This bill was overturned, but now they're fighting to repass it. For all the people who think that what happens in the government doesn't directly affect them, there you go.
And theres tons more of how i feel. Do i think kerry would be the best? no. but we've already seen what the current administration has done and im not happy with it. Nor is most of the world i suspect.
For those of you who have and will call me unpatriotic all i have to say to you is that i am very patriotic. By taking a stand, by protesting which i have done, by trying to educate myself on both sides (i dont accept all the anarchist views and i try to research them as much as i do the governments views. if anyone can show me things that im wrong about im more than happy to look into and will admit if i was wrong.) trying to help educate other people, im looking into social work and linguistics. im not trying to say im better for it, but im simply stating that i am backing what i say, and that im trying to make a difference about something i care about, which is more than what i can say about a lot of the people who sit around and wave a flag and live in their complacent egocentric worlds.
so yeah... on your mark, get set...

so school has been going fairly well. I have to say my favorite classes are music theory and percussion ensemble. All my lit classes are boring and dominated by the teachers' ethical views. I think both of them just want an argument and what better place than a room full of captive students.
Also I have two new bands sorta. One is this is the sequel and we already have two shows lined up. The other is unnamed with seth and stewie. The lifespan of the second band is undetermined since stewie is doing Chest Rockwell, but it will be fun as long as it lasts.
Guess now im going to work perhaps.

09:47 am - BOOM!
Yesterday I'm in the break room at Huish, chilling with Danny, Mike, and Claudia. Up walks the rep from the temp agency we work for, Express personel. He talks to her a few, I miss some of it cuz i was getting water. He leaves, Claudia leaves. I ask what was up and they Danny tells me that she has just been fired because she can't speak English.
I fucking erupted! First of all, I've had conversations with her. Nothing big mind you, just talking about our days, families, what have you. But i could understand her perfectly and so could everyone else who worked with us. Numero 2, express is suppose to screen everyone who works for huish to make sure they can read and understand english, by firing her do they not say that they didnt do their job properly. 3 They fired her in the middle of a shift, with no warning, when it was decided she should be fired last friday. Now heres the real clencher. She was fired because the third highest up at Express heard her husband translate a few words for her. The woman automaticaly assumed that Claudia needed an interpreter and therefore without any type of professional follow up, gives the order to have her fired. What the fuck. My boss Cherrel has already talked to some of the management and is going to the rest today to fight this bullshit. I hope express gets sued off their ass.

09:37 am - Braaaaains brains and cunalingus
For the last week at work all they have had on tv has been this damned presidential burial. First of all, i dont care who you are, i dont want to watch them carry your dead body down the street and around town and to the fucking circus or wherever. You're dead. Number two, its Reagan people. He wasn't a good president or a good person by any stretch of the imagination. Lets see here: welfare, grenada, star wars program, he testifed that people were communist when they werent to get ahead, and so forth. If they want to do a week long news report on a dead guy i think it should go like this:
Here we are on day three of Zombie Reagan's rampage through downtown. So far, wrapped in the American flag he has flipped 2 school busses, eaten half a dozen girlscouts and it looks now that hes vomiting blood on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. However we have noted that from time to time he will run into walls aimless while mumbling "Nancy, where am I Nancy". Normally such a horrific event would be stopped immediatly, but since he was an American president, he has an honor guard for his entire rampage and now it would seem that hes being fed what looks to be a hippie and Dick Gephardt. Truly it is a great day to be an American.

09:25 pm - just one quick rant
What the hell is the deal with all the scene girls wanting guys in either eyeliner or girl's pants. I mean what the fuck?! Go kiss a girl. I know for a fact that a lot of girls like pretty guys (mike for example)but thats taking it a bit far. I guess somewhere there are guys who want girls to grow facial hair and do whatever disgusting things us guy do.
Sides that, my comic collaboration with Derrick is coming along great, I have a few pages done and hes pumping out the character sketches like a madman. Im pretty excited because we can get the first issue published for sixty-four dollars. That includes 25, 24 page black and white comics with full color cover. Also I'm now in a band with Seth and Jonah and yet another band with Dre and Colby. I'm not exactly sure whats up with the other band i was going to do with maggie and derrick but i guess that remains to be seen.
Other then that, I've been working my ass off and hanging out with Leigh. I really dont think i could have found a better match for me. Its just the little things that add up to so much. They make you realize how much you really have.

oh and add this to my last entry, shes a great proofreader. ive decided long ago that my strong points in writing lie in my stories and ideas not neccessarly my grammer skills. i blame it on going to school in muhlenberg. im learning, but till then i hope she'll help me with that too. =)
